S&M Tuffman Sprocket (23,24,25,27,28,30t) BMX Chainrings
Tuffman Sprocket (23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30T)
This CNC-machined sprocket features 3D mag-spoke styling inspired by the classic Skyway Tuffwheel. Machined from 1/4" thick 6061-T6 aluminum billet with laser-etched graphics and a universal bore compatible with 19mm, 22mm, and 24mm spindles. Made in the USA and available in six tooth count options.
Key Features
- 3D CNC-machined mag-spoke design – Full-depth machining creates iconic Tuffwheel-inspired spoke pattern while reducing weight without compromising strength
- 1/4" thick 6061-T6 aluminum – Thicker material provides durability and stiffness while T6 heat treatment maximizes strength for the alloy
- 1/8" tooth width – Standard BMX chain compatibility works with most modern chains without requiring specific matching
- 15/16" (24mm) center bore with included adapters – Universal bore fits 19mm, 22mm, and 24mm crank spindles using provided steel hat washers
- Laser-etched graphics – Permanent marking on reverse side won't wear off like printed graphics
- Six tooth count options – Available in 23T, 24T, 25T, 27T, 28T, and 30T for different gear ratio applications
Technical Specifications
- Material: 1/4" thick 6061-T6 aluminum billet
- Tooth width: 1/8"
- Center bore: 15/16" (24mm)
- Spindle compatibility: 19mm, 22mm, 24mm (with included adapters)
- Available tooth counts: 23T, 24T, 25T, 27T, 28T, 30T
- Included hardware: 19mm and 22mm steel hat washers
- Graphics: Laser-etched on reverse
- Made in: USA
Compatibility and Ideal Use Cases
Works with all three-piece cranks using 19mm, 22mm, or 24mm spindles and standard 1/8" BMX chains. Smaller tooth counts (23T-25T) suit trail, dirt, and park riders seeking quick acceleration and responsive pedaling for pumping and manuals. Mid-range counts (27T-28T) balance acceleration with reasonable top speed for mixed riding. Larger count (30T) provides higher top speed for racing or riders prioritizing speed. The Tuffwheel-inspired design works equally well on retro mid-school builds or modern bikes where riders want classic aesthetics with current spindle compatibility.
